This Financial Times article (written Rajib Chanda) discusses the problem of “phantom employees” on LinkedIn — individuals who are listed on the social media site as an employee of a company, but who in actuality do not work there. It’s easy for individuals to become a phantom employee, but much harder for companies to identify and remove them.
